Enemy heads explode with emphasis and an accompanying “squish” sound each time you perform a headshot. Guts and intestines (human, or not?) cover the ground you walk on. This game is dark, tense, gruesome, gory, grotesque, brutal, and more. Mikami and the rest of the team at Tango Gameworks know this and completely hit it out of the park with The Evil Within. One of the most important aspects of a horror game is the atmosphere and setting.
